The name is a nod to the owners’ favorite tomboys from literature: George Kirrin from Enid Blyton’s Famous Five, and To Kill a Mockingbird’s Scout Finch. The first capsule collection sold out in five hours, and Kirrin Finch was born.
Tired of settling for ill-fitting men’s pants, the couple spent a year tweaking the pattern for what became their Windsor Chino, with its extra-deep pockets, mid-weight stretch twill, and colorful accents. It was during their honeymoon that Laura and Kelly Moffat came up with the idea for this clothing line: they wanted to find better menswear designed expressly for women’s bodies.
